Conference Highlights
The 33rd Annual International Conference (EMBC '11) of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society will take place at the Boston Marriott Copley Place Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts, USA from August 30—September 3, 2011. It will cover diverse topics ranging from biomedical engineering to healthcare technologies to medical and clinical applications. The conference program will consist of invited plenary lectures, symposia, workshops, invited sessions and oral and poster sessions of unsolicited contributions.
We have a fantastic lineup of keynote speakers and are expecting over 2,500 biomedical researchers, engineers, clinicians and policymakers from industry, government and academia who will share their latest ideas in healthcare innovation from across the spectrum of healthcare technology. In addition, prominent biomedical engineers, clinicians as well as policymakers from the FDA and NIH will participate in panel discussions, workshops and symposia throughout the conference, and there will also be a special "unconference" featured on the topic of wearable technology.

Student Volunteering Opportunities—Free Registration!
We have a very special volunteering opportunity for graduate students in Boston (i.e. help with registration, answer questions, or mentor high school students). We would love to get more graduate students attending who otherwise might not be able to come. In exchange for one day of volunteering, students will get access to the entire conference for free ($500 dollars otherwise). Sign up to volunteer by emailing briantracey@tufts.edu.
